Professional Photographic Safaris (62kb)
Botswana’s Okavango Delta, the Savuti Section of Chobe National Park and the Khwai area of Moremi are among the last great wildernesses in Africa. Theo and Jami have photographed in Botswana for over one year and have taken award-winning photographs as well as published multiple articles with images from these areas.
This wildlife safari is truly filled with excitement and amazing photographic opportunities. We welcome you to join us on a luxury-tented safari where you lay in your tent at night listening to the sounds of the bush. You eagerly awaken each morning with anticipation to discover the fresh tracks and footprints around your tent. The natural atmosphere of this exciting experience is complimented by professional and technical photography support and experienced drivers who are expert in tracking wildlife. Our mobile-tented camps will be set up before we arrive and ideally situated near areas that we know to be animal-active and people-isolated.
We start our days before sunrise with hopes of capturing the early morning hunting of wild dogs, lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. After our morning photography, we are welcomed back in camp by our attentive staff and a warm breakfast with bush coffee! During mid-day, we enjoy lunch in camp and discuss our morning photography as a group with time for individual and technical discussions. After our early afternoon tea, we head out for our afternoon and evening shoot.
Our safari vehicles are spacious and open for ideal game viewing and photography. Each vehicle will have an expert tracker / driver and a photographer / guide for immediate field support. In some cases when it is safe, it may be possible to leave our vehicles for better photo angles. We will always try to position ourselves in the best possible location for ultimate shooting and viewing opportunities. This trip is an African experience that will be enjoyed by non-photographers, novice photographers as well as professional colleagues - the emphasis will be on photography and will guarantee excitement!
